Some Celtic fans are desperate to see the club sign a midfielder in the January transfer window following the 2-1 loss to rivals Rangers over the weekend.
Nikola Katic’s bullet header in the second half condemned Neil Lennon’s side to defeat at Celtic Park, with supporters since pinpointing midfield as the area that cost them in the derby.

As a result, some are now calling for Lennon to dip into the transfer market when it opens and have even done the scouting themselves for the 48-year-old, suggesting that ex-player Victor Wanyama should be re-signed.
As well as midfield, centre-back and centre-forward have also been listed as areas that need strengthening if Celtic are to see off Rangers’ challenge for their SPFL crown.
Next up for Lennon and his men is a Scottish Cup tie against Partick Thistle in the New Year.

I felt there was a lack of bottle with some of the younger…less experienced players yesterday. As you say….a big midfielder to calm and control things would help.
And a big headbanger in defence that puts the fear of god into opposition would be good too.

We need a Centre Forward immediately . I love Jamesy but we need competition for him as a matter of urgency . As for Wanyama , if your wanting the Europa League fine but basically it’s for two games up here . And then the final mystery where is Greg Taylor ?
