A number of Celtic fans have urged Neil Lennon to practice what he has been preaching about rarely-seen Hoops winger Marian Shved after @celticbible on Twitter posted comments from the manager.
Speaking about the 22-year-old from the mid-season training camp in Dubai (as per The Scotsman), Lennon said: “He’s doing good. He’s training well. He’s looking lively and has been a wee bit of a bonus this week. It’s an opportunity to just explode onto it. He’s looked very healthy and I’ve been pleased with him.” [via @celticbible]

Shved has only played twice for Celtic so far this season, scoring in a 20-minute substitute appearance against Nomme Kalju in Champions League qualifying and most recently getting 15 minutes off the bench in the 6-0 win over Ross County in October. That was also the last time when the Ukrainian made a matchday squad, with just four other squad inclusions since the start of the current campaign. [via TransferMarkt]
Shved was signed by Celtic a year ago before being loaned back to Karpaty Lviv for the rest of 2018/19, as per celticfc.net. Back in August, Lennon told the Daily Record that the 22-year-old “needs to up his tempo and his work” in order to get more game-time at Parkhead, something that has rarely been granted to him, although the Celtic manager is now proclaiming a different tune.
