Celtic fans were celebrating today after one of the club’s greatest players, Bertie Auld turned 82-years-old today.

The man, who was part of the famous Hoops side to win the Champions League back during the 1966/1967 season, enjoyed a brilliant career. He made just under 280 appearances across all competitions, scoring 85 goals during two spells with the Paradise outfit (via The Celtic Wiki). It proved to be quite the trophy-laden experience with Auld winning a mammoth 16 trophies, including the quadruple in 1967.

He has gone on record to claim that his greatest moment with the club wasn’t 1967, instead, it was his arrival back at Parkhead from Birmingham City in 1965.
