Celtic: Fans concerned after seeing lineup for Hibernian clash

It may not have mattered in the end, though there were plenty of sceptical Celtic fans on Sunday who were worried about Neil Lennon’s team selection for their game against Hibernian.

Fans took to Twitter to berate the absences of Ryan Christie (who missed the game through injury), while some took issue with Nir Bitton claiming a starting berth and the very presence of Lewis Morgan amongst the substitutes.

There was some confusion as to what formation Lennon had selected against his former club with a number of first-teamers missing for the league leaders, which was displayed further by a lack of defensive alternatives on the bench.

Goals from Jeremie Frimpong and Odsonne Edouard ensured Celtic’s fans need not have worried after claiming another three points and bouncing back from their midweek defeat in the Europa League.
