Celtic: Fans delighted with Jeremie Frimpong after man-of-the-match display

Celtic maintained their position at the top of the Scottish Premiership thanks to their victory over Hibernian at Parkhead on Sunday afternoon.

After the game, it was goalscorer Jeremie Frimpong who had won the appraisal of the home fans as he set Neil Lennon’s men on their way to getting back to the top after earlier results had seen the Hoops drop to second place.

Odsonne Edouard would seal the points for Celtic in the second half, though Frimpong gained most of the plaudits after the game.

Upon being named as the Man of the Match, Frimpong’s display showed a fair amount of character following his sending-off in the Betfred Cup final last week.

In any case, Celtic fans are clearly delighted with the start that the 19-year-old Dutchman has had in Scotland, with Frimpong netting his first goal on home soil since his summer move from Manchester City.
