Celtic: Fans don’t seem bothered by latest UEFA disciplinary case

Celtic have been charged by UEFA over the behaviour of some supporters during their 2-0 win over CFR Cluj in the Europa League last week.

Sky Sports reported that disciplinary proceedings have been opened by European football’s governing body against the Scottish champions over the alleged setting off of fireworks at Parkhead during that match, with Clyde 1 Superscoreboard relaying the news on Twitter [via @ClydeSSB].

According to Sky Sports, the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body will meet on October 17th to review the case against Celtic.

This latest infraction comes just weeks after the Glasgow club were fined €12,500 (£11,041) by UEFA for setting off fireworks and throwing objects during their 4-1 win away to AIK in the Europa League play-offs, as noted by UEFA.com.

According to BBC, that was the 17th time that Celtic have been fined by UEFA since 2007, indicating that the Hoops have a lengthy rap sheet with the organisation.
