Celtic: Fans drool over ‘ridiculous’ Tom Rogic strike against Aberdeen

Responding to footage on Twitter, plenty of Celtic fans have been left in awe over midfielder Tom Rogic’s superb strike against Aberdeen in 2016 – a ‘ridiculous‘ moment which helped the Hoops move nine points clear at the top of the Premiership table

The Australian, who has scored 38 goals and assisted 34 others from midfield over 189 appearances for the club overall (Transfermarkt), has had to play more of a bit-part role this campaign – starting just five games in total and averaging a total of 35 minutes per game (SofaScore). Regardless, plenty of Celtic fans have an abundance of fond memories where the attacking midfielder’s exploits are concerned – with this impressive half-volley against the Dons recapturing much praise.

Gathering an attempted headed clearance, Rogic took the ball down and instinctively fired an impressive effort beyond the helpless Joe Lewis in goal. One Celtic supporter even suggested he should ‘absolutely not be doing that‘.
