Plenty of Celtic fans were very content with the assignment that was handed to Neil Lennon’s team in yesterday’s draw for the last 32 of the Europa League.
The Hoops will travel to Denmark to play FC Copenhagen, an away day which has pleased many fans intending to embark on another continental trip supporting the club.
The Danish capital city was named at the top of a list of the best 10 cities in the world to visit in 2019 by Lonely Planet (via CNN), highlighting its status as a popular tourist attraction.
However, a report by The Economist Intelligence Unit [via thelocal.dk] cited the city as one of the most expensive in the world and the fourth priciest in Europe.
Celtic have visited Copenhagen in previous years, having been drawn in a group with their upcoming European opponents in the 2006/07 Champions League. [via TransferMarkt]
These Hoops fans on Twitter reacted happily to the news of the draw and are eagerly anticipating a trip to Denmark in February:
