Celtic lost 2-1 away at Kilmarnock on Sunday despite they took the lead in the game. The Hoops looked like they were going to bounce back from a 0-0 draw against St Mirren from the previous weekend when Leigh Griffiths scored with his head in the first half. In the end, it wasn’t to be, but the fans still enjoyed Griffiths’ goal.

The 28-year-old’s strike against Kilmarnock made it four for the season and two in just four days as he had previously scored the winner against Rosenborg in their Europa League group. After the game the fans were fuming over the defeat and couldn’t believe how it had happened despite their taking the lead and looking so comfortable for most of the game, but at the time, the fans were loving Griffiths when he put the ball in the net.
The striker has enjoyed some good times in the last few years at the club. Across the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons in which the Bhoys won Scottish football’s first ever double-treble the Scotsman bagged himself 31 goals in all competitions and he’ll be keen to keep scoring and goals and try to win his side some more silverware as the season draws on into the later months.

The fans will be relying on Griffiths to get them out of their rut at the moment and there’s no doubting that the 28-year-old is up to the challenge at Parkhead.
