Lots of Celtic fans have slammed the performance of James Forrest in Sunday’s Old Firm defeat, with many of the Parkhead faithful feeling the 14-goal star was ‘invisible’.
The title is now in Rangers and Steven Gerrard’s hands after Sunday’s clash of the titans (insert joke about not letting it slip).
In truth, Gerrard’s side wholly deserved their three points at Parkhead, with most of the individual battles on the pitch won by a blue shirt.
Ryan Kent and Joe Aribo gave the Celtic defence nightmares while Odsonne Edouard was largely kept quiet despite grabbing a goal from a deflection, but it is Forrest’s display that has left a particularly sour taste for Hoops supporters.
The 28 year-old has 87 goals and 86 assists in a Celtic shirt, per Transfermarkt, with 14 of those strikes coming this campaign, but he was barely noticeable in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat.
Fans have lashed out at him for hiding and failing to help 19 year-old prospect Jeremie Frimpong, as you can see in the Twitter reactions down below…
James Forrest this season is the equivalent to Sinclair after the invincibles season

If James Forrest gets a testimonial for two good seasons in ten it’ll be the biggest embarrassment in our clubs history.

Has anybody seen this man? Named James Forrest, around 5ft 7, last seen entering Celtic Park. pic.twitter.com/r5BEM4zoox

100%
Kamara and Kent on Frimpong and Forrest would run inside to the nearest blue jersey to leave him isolated.

James Forrest biggest fraud to wear the jersey

Playing against better opponents is when wingers should be helping full backs out. Forrest was horrendous. It’s highlighted today what he has been doing for months. HIDING. Gets away with it against the lesser teams. People need to realise that. Poor from team today.
