A number of Celtic fans have taken to social media to express their dissatisfaction with the club’s dealings so far in the January transfer window, in response to an article on thecelticblog.com that was subsequently shared on Twitter via @CelticBlog2018.

The article in question raised concerns over the lack of incomings entering the final 10 days of the window, with Patryk Klimala the only confirmed signing thus far, although Neil Lennon has said that Ismaila Soro has undergone a medical and is awaiting international clearance before his signing can be completed (as per BBC). However, the article claimed that neither of those players would inject “a ‘wow’ factor” at Parkhead in terms of generating vast excitement from a lot of Celtic fans.
In terms of outgoings, the Hoops’ decision to sell Scott Sinclair to Preston enraged a number of supporters, while defenders Lee O’Connor and Jack Hendry have gone out on loan and Lewis Morgan is set to finalise his move to Inter Miami in the coming days (as per Miami Herald).
The piece on thecelticblog.com questioned the ambition of the Celtic board, expressing fear that the Hoops had not strengthened sufficiently ahead of the resumption of the league season against Kilmarnock on Wednesday night. In response, these fans of the Parkhead club on Twitter condemned the club’s transfer activity so far this month, with one demanding the exit of chief executive Peter Lawwell:

That fact is a slip up at Kilmarnock and the board will be is severe trouble…. A quality big-name signing was required in summer and not delivered
