A number of Celtic fans have voiced their appreciation for the job done by Neil Lennon at the club as the one-year anniversary of his return to the Parkhead dugout draws near.
Celtic Nation on Twitter (@CelticNation67) posted a video of the 48-year-old arriving at the Hoops’ home ground on February 26th last year, when he was appointed the club’s manager for a second time following the abrupt departure of Brendan Rodgers to take the Leicester job (as per BBC), having initially been given the role to the end of the season before his permanent appointment last May.

Lennon went on to win the Premiership and Scottish Cup last season to complete a third successive domestic treble for Celtic and he is on course to repeat the feat again this year, with the Betfred Cup already secured, their Scottish Cup campaign still on track and a 10-point lead in the league. He also guided the Hoops into the last 32 of the Europa League as group winners, masterminding the club’s first competitive win in Italy when they beat Lazio in Rome.
Some Celtic fans weren’t best pleased when Lennon got the job full-time but, nearly a year after he stepped into the void left by Rodgers, these Hoops fans on Twitter have lauded his impact, with one saying that he “stood up when others faltered”:
Neil Frances Lennon 🍀🍀🍀 Stood up when others faltered 🙌🏻

I always said Lenny was the best man for the job. Brilliant to see all the doubters realise that this fella is special. Hail Hail 🇮🇪

Absolute legend, there shouldn’t be any Celtic supporter who doesn’t back this man. He deserves respect for everything he’s done for the club.

I won’t lie; I was hoping for a bigger name when he took the reigns back last year, but I couldn’t be happier that I’ve been proved wrong. And then some.
