A number of Celtic fans have reacted to a post that the club’s official Twitter account shared regarding Hatem Abd Elhamed’s return to action.
The Israel international defender had been out on the sidelines for the last 114 days with a muscle injury (per TransferMarkt) but made his return to the squad in the fixture against Livingston in midweek. However, it was not until the match against St. Mirren where fans were able to see the 28-year-old back in action.
Indeed, it appears Neil Lennon wanted to ease Elhamed back into the action, as he gave him around ten minutes at the end of the game (per SofaScore) to perhaps acquire a taste of competitive minutes especially after such a lengthy period of time in the treatment room.
After the club shared a post about the £810k-valued defender (per TransferMarkt), it was evidently clear to see that a number of fans were delighted that he was back available for selection and called for the manager to start him in their upcoming fixtures.
