Celtic: Fans love to see crunching tackle from Jonny Hayes

Many Celtic fans have shared their love for Irish midfielder Jonny Hayes after he put in a crunching tackle during Celtic’s 1-1 draw with Rennes last night.

The Hoops managed to salvage a point in Brittany after falling behind to an M’Baye Niang penalty in the 37th minute.

Celtic got back into the game after James Forrest was fouled to win his side a penalty. Ryan Christie made no mistake from the spot as he slotted home.

However, Celtic’s impressive point in France wasn’t the only thing that fans were raving about. There was a tackle in the 79th minute from a certain Jonny Hayes which got fans’ hearts racing, which you can see below.

With Mali full-back Hamari Traore bursting into the Celtic box, Jonny Hayes appears to come out of nowhere with a tackle at force which catches the ball perfectly. He had to be spot on with his timing, as the ball had just about entered the area, meaning it would have been a penalty for Rennes.
