A lot of Celtic fans are drooling over a tweet which shows highlights of the club’s 2-0 victory over Liverpool in the UEFA Cup Quarter-Final second leg.
Alan Thompson scored the first from a free-kick and the lead was doubled with a stunning strike from Welsh forward John Hartson, via BBC Sport. This emphatic victory meant that the Scottish side progressed to the semi-finals and eventually they ended up in the final as well, but narrowly lost 3-2 to FC Porto in extra time, via UEFA.com.
Sadly the club did not win the trophy but the run they had in the European competition has gone down in the history books and fans still reminisce over the campaign.
The fans also like to remind Premier League side Liverpool of this game, as followers of the division sometimes suggest that The Celts would struggle if they played their domestic football with the English leagues.
