A truly dramatic late win at home to Hamilton sent Celtic two points clear in the title race after Scott Brown ensured the champions made the most of results elsewhere.

With Aberdeen holding Rangers to a 2-2 draw at Pittodrie, last night looked like a great chance to try and pull away in the title race, though it looked to be a frustrating evening when Marios Ogkmpoe struck late on to level the scores.
Obviously, the Bhoys skipper had other ideas and popped up with his fourth goal of the campaign and he wasn’t the only member of the old Hoops guard to be talked about online. Indeed, with Odsonne Edouard omitted ahead of Sunday’s cup final and Lewis Morgan operating in a striking role, Leigh Griffiths was able to ramp up his return after being brought on before the 70th minute.

A prolific goalscorer at this level considering his impressive haul of 107 goals in 200 games (per Transfermarkt), the former Hibs ace could surely be a helpful tool to use in the chase for a ninth Scottish crown in a row, especially considering Rangers outscored the champions last season.
While he was unable to get on the scoresheet, BBC Sport note how he had a shot cleared off the line amid some late drama and having him work towards his best must be viewed as a positive this season given his record over the years.
With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the reaction.
