Celtic are due to commence negotiations with Kristoffer Ajer over a prospective new deal at the club, according to reports from the Daily Record that were relayed on Twitter by @CelticBible.

The Daily Record reported that the Hoops are planning to give the Norway international an enhanced contract at Celtic Park in the hope of keeping him at the club.
It was only last year that Ajer signed a four-year contract at Celtic to tie him down until 2022, but in the face of reported interest from AC Milan (according to Tuttomercatoweb) and Leicester (according to The Scottish Sun), the Hoops are willing to offer him improved terms to entice him to stay.
According to the Daily Record, the 21-year-old defender is among five players at the club that manager Neil Lennon deems to be “untouchable“, but Celtic have not always been able to hang on to their most prized assets in the past.
Only last week, the Hoops bade farewell to Kieran Tierney after he completed a £25m move to Arsenal, a year after selling Moussa Dembele to Lyon for £19.7m, while they also sold Virgil van Dijk to Southampton in 2015 for £13m.
These Celtic fans fear that the plan to give Ajer a new deal is merely with a view to him being sold at a high price further down the line:
Nice big fat contract to justify a nice big fee next season
Lawwell is genius business guru.
