Celtic fans have got it good at the moment. Every single domestic honour in Scotland has found a home at Parkhead since the 2015/16 Scottish Cup, and they could be set to make it an incredible treble-treble if they win the Scottish Cup again this year. However, Rangers’ Scott Arfield still believes that the Gers are close to catching the Bhoys.

The comments from Scott Arfield have been published in an article in The Daily Record, leading to loads of Celtic fans jumping in and have a good chuckle. Then, if that wasn’t enough, Chris Sutton has quoted the article with his own take on it, prompting even more of the Hoops to pile in on their Old Firm rivals. With Sutton’s history at Parkhead, he makes the perfect catalyst for Celtic fans here.
Scott Arfield does have something of a point, though. His comments were well measured as he claimed that the Ibrox club are on their way back to the top, but even with their progress, a trophy would have only been a bonus. The Canadian international claimed that in his four-year contract he expects to finish his Rangers career with trophies to look back on and that they’re not as far off of Celtic as everyone thinks, something the Hoops have greatly enjoyed reading.

The Bhoys love piling in on their Old Firm rivals, and when Arfield and co at Ibrox are coming out with comments like these, it’s hard for the Parkhead faithful not to have a field day.
