Scottish football fans have been reacting to comments made by 39-year-old, Clint Hill, who spent one year with the ‘Gers for the 2016/17 season. Hill appeared in four Old Firm derbies and even got on the scoresheet in the Bluenoses’ 1-1 draw at Parkhead this time last year. However, Hill has claimed that Rangers will be in the mix for the SPL title if they can overcome Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday.
“If they get a win then they seriously are title contenders. They have to be judged that way.”
Are Rangers ready to challenge Celtic for league glory?

Rangers fans have long been in the shadows of their greatest rivals, the Bhoys in Green, Celtic. They currently find themselves closer to Brendan Rodgers’ side than they have been for years, just six points behind their Old Firm rivals. A win for the Bluenoses will bring them within one game of matching Celtic’s points total, although Celtic do have a game in hand over Rangers.
At the start of the season, Scottish football fans wouldn’t have expected the ‘Gers to be as hot on the heels of Celtic as they are, especially after the club’s embarrassing defeat to Progres Niederkorn of Luxembourg in the Europa League qualifiers back in summer 2017. Despite this, Rangers have defied expectation and find themselves chasing what will be their first Scottish League title since 2011.

Rangers win – Celtic beat Dundee at home and it's back to 6 pts. Count GD and you're looking at a 3 game turnaround. Wake up and smell the Kenco – it's not happening
