Celtic fans on Twitter were delighted yesterday when Brendan Rodgers opted to bring on Daniel Arzani just before the hour-mark against Dundee yesterday, however, their delight was short-lived as the Australian winger lasted just 20 minutes before being stretchered off, with Celtic playing out the last 15 or so minutes with ten men.
Daniel Arzani has been stretchered off and the Hoops will play the remainder of the match with ten men.

The issue for The Bhoys wasn’t the fact that they had to play with ten men, especially seeing as they were 5-0 up and cruising at that point. Instead, it was the fact that they are now set to be without their young Australian attacker for some time, depending on the severity of his setback. Brendan Rodgers has been reluctant to use the youngster so far but after his impressive 20-minute cameo yesterday he may have given Rodgers something to think about.
The Hoops signed Arzani on-loan from Manchester City back in August and to date, yesterday’s appearance off the bench was his first in a Celtic shirt. Now, though, the fans will hope that he can kick on and recover from his injury and get back in the senior squad. The 20-year-old’s willingness to drive at the opposition was brilliant to see and his ability to carry the ball forward and try and create chances was what the fans wanted.

Such a shame he was doing well since coming on. Let’s hope it’s not serious

The Hoops are desperate to see Arzani back in the fold and will hope he can get back in the side as soon as possible.
