Last night, as Celtic squeezed through their Europa League group at the expense of RB Leipzig, there were a lot of fans who were left gutted. The fact that they went through is always brilliant for them, but it came at a price, as Ryan Christie suffered a horrid injury and was stretchered off early into the second half.

Get well soon, Ryan

The 23-year-old winger has been in absolutely majestic form as of late and he’s managed to find the net in seven out of his last eight domestic appearances for the club, including scoring the winner in the Scottish League Cup final against Aberdeen only a few weeks ago. However, it looks like he’ll have to wait a little bit longer until he scores his next goal for the Hoops after being taken off with what looked like a serious injury.
The Hoops took to Twitter straight away after the blow to share what they thought may have happened to the winger, and most feared that their in-form young winger had suffered a broken leg during his clash with RB Salzburg’s Takumi Minamino. The fans will be fearing the worst until they get the news, and will just hope that the winger can defy the odds and make a quick return from his setback.

The Bhoys hate the idea of having Christie out for a lengthy period and will hope that it’s not as bad as first feared and he’s back in reasonable time.
