Celtic fans on Twitter want to a Sviatchenko swoop after Parkhead appearance

Erik Sviatchenk0o was a fan favourite during his time at Celtic, the 27-year-old central defender signed for the Hoops back in January 2016 from FC Midtjylland, however, he lasted just two and a half years before returning his former club. After yesterday, though, when he was present at Parkhead for Celtic’s 3-0 win, the fans want him back.

The Danish centre-half was lucky enough to win five honours in his time at Celtic. Whilst playing under both Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers, the defender picked up two Scottish Premier League titles, two Scottish League Cups and one Scottish Cup in what can only be described as an incredibly successful spell in Glasgow for the commanding Danish international.

Now, though, after being away from the club for the last six months, the fans have been calling for Sviatchenko to make a return, and they want him back in January. At the moment the club have the likes of Filip Benkovic, Dedryck Boyata and Jozo Simunovic at the back, but with Benkovic only on-loan, a return for Sviatchenko would go down very well with the fans.
