Everyone associated with Celtic football club will be desperate to see Brendan Rodgers make it seven consecutive domestic honours won. After beating Hearts 3-0 at Murrayfield yesterday in the Scottish League Cup semi-final it looks like they’ll go on to do just that, especially with Scott Sinclair getting back to form.

Scott Sinclair has found a home for himself at Parkhead, scoring 25 goals in his first season at the club before backing that up with 18 goals in his second year. However, in his third season, the ex-Manchester City man has stuttered somewhat, scoring just three goals so far in his 18 appearances for The Hoops. After yesterday, though, it looks like the 29-year-old could be back in form and ready to get back to his goalscoring ways.
Brendan Rodgers initially had Sinclair on the bench for the semi-final, but when Eboue Kouassi came off injured after 26 minutes it gave Sinclair an opportunity to show Rodgers why he should be starting. The electric winger came on and just eight minutes into the second half he’d buried a penalty to put his side 1-0 up. From there, he didn’t look back as his top-level performance helped his club to yet another cup final.

The Hoops were in awe of Sinclair yesterday and will hope the Murrayfield clash with Hearts can be the turning point in terms of the 29-year-old’s form.
