Celtic fans were picking out Shunsuke Nakamura’s strike back in 2008 after a post asked them a fun question following recent events.
Celtic Bible asked the faithful which of the club’s goals they would watch on repeat for the next 12 weeks. The question comes amid a postponement of football in Scotland due to the recent pandemic with a date yet to be set for a return to action. Nakamura’s famous long-range effort against their fierce rivals was one that stuck out among the many replies and came during the side’s 2-1 win back in April 2008 (via BBC).
It was one of just two goals the £90k-rated, as per Transfermarkt, former Japan international scored against the outfit. Overall, the attacking midfielder endured a horrible record against them, winning just four of the 13 games he featured in during his career. Supporters were adamant the 41-year-old’s finish was something they’d watch over and over again as they took to Twitter to react. Here are some tweets:
Nakamura v rangers.
I’ve probably seen a full 12 weeks of it already and still get caught out with what direction it’s going
