Celtic: Fans pour hearts out to Scott Sinclair after emotional tweet

Many Celtic fans have given some emotional responses to Scott Sinclair after he posted a tweet about returning to the squad after Wednesday night.

The 30-year-old winger promised fans that he will continue to fight for the shirt after he played for the first time since his side played Motherwell on August 10. He’s managed to accumulate just 56 minutes of game time thus far.

He made his return to the first team coming on as a substitute against Partick Thistle in the League Cup quarter-final and managed to grab a goal for his side.

It was a formality result for the Hoops at Celtic Park, as they blew away Partick Thistle with a 5-0 scoreline, with the visitors only having 27% possession.

Olivier Ntcham grabbed a brace, while Vakoun Issouf Bayo, Tom Rogic and Sinclair picked up the others against the Scottish Championship side.

Celtic have won the competition three years running and now are only two matches away from doing it again. They managed to stay the other side of the draw from their rivals Rangers, where they will face Hibernian at Hampden Park.

Positive messages flooded in from many Celtic fans, who were delighted to see Sinclair up and running for the season.
