On Sunday, Celtic wished a happy birthday to former player Emilio Izaguirre, and it seems like he left many fond memories with the club as fans flooded to the post to praise the Honduran.
The full-back actually had two spells at the Scottish side, as he signed in 2010 from CD Motagua Tegucigalpa, via Transfermarkt, before leaving in 2017, but then returned to the club in 2018.

He made an impressive 271 appearances for the Hoops, and even managed to pick up five goals along the way. What is even more remarkable is the fact that he has 48 assists at left-back, highlighting how good he was offensively. He has been a part of a lot of the success in recent times at the club, winning seven league titles, three League Cups and four Scottish Cups.
The Honduran international is now 34, via Transfermarkt, and plays in his home nation. It seems most likely he will retire there, but his impact at the Celts will definitely be remembered.
