Many Celtic fans are discussing former player Alan Thompson after a fan posted a video of some of the player’s highlights on Twitter.
The player signed for £3.96 million in 2000, per Transfermarkt, and went on to make 227 appearances for the side, scoring 51 goals and also contributing with whopping 82 assists, via CelticLisboa.
He also managed to win the league four times during his career in Glasgow as well as the Scottish Cup three times and the League Cup twice, per Transfermarkt.

Clearly the left midfielder had a great career at the club, and based on the replies to the post showing his highlights, he was a fan favourite. After playing for the Hoops, he had spells at Leeds United and Hartlepool until he eventually hung up his boots in 2008.
His time at the Celts was the best part of his career, and was the only place where he won silverware, but he did enjoy spells in the Premier League.
