Celtic: Fans rave over highlights of last-gasp derby victory

A Celtic fan page has posted a clip of a Chris Sutton goal for the club against Old Firm rivals Rangers and a lot of Hoops supporters have been drooling over the video.

The match was played 16 years ago yesterday and was a very memorable fixture despite the 1-0 scoreline as victory for the Hoops meant that they had completed a whitewash over their fierce opponents, beating Rangers on all five occasions on which they met in 2003/04, per thecelticwiki.

However, that record seemed under fierce threat as the game remained 0-0 until the 90th minute when a goal kick by the Celts managed to end up at Sutton’s feet. The centre forward tried an audacious chip from at least 25 yards out which caused the Hoops faithful to erupt as it landed in the back of the net, via thecelticwiki.

Sutton made 65 appearances for the Bhoys, scoring 24 times and picking up 11 assists, but this goal is definitely one of the best that he scored whilst at the Scottish club.

Here is how some Celtic fans reacted after seeing the tweet:
