Many Celtic fans are replying to quotes by striker Leigh Griffiths and giving him words of encouragement as he speaks about trying the climb up the goal scorers list at the club.
The 29 year-old has played 234 times for the Hoops and has scored 115 goals, contributing with 49 assists too, per Transfermarkt. This is a very impressive tally to hold, but he has his eyes set on a milestone and speaking to the club about his goals, he said, via Celtic FC: “I need three more (goals) to be in the top 20 all-time Celtic goal scorers. If you think about the great goal scorers who have been here over the years, that would probably be the biggest achievement of my career.”
It is great for Celtic fans to see their player have such big aspirations especially since he has already achieved so much with the club. The attacker has won the league six times, the Scottish Cup twice and the Scottish League Cup six times, per Transfermarkt.
Fans have praised the Scottish international and are all believing that Griffiths will be able to climb into the top 20 scorers of all time at the club. If he does this, he will certainly go down in folklore as a legend at the club.
