Celtic fans react to Olivier Ntcham’s display against Rosenborg

Celtic supporters have been reasonably satisfied in the last few hours after seeing their side begin their Europa League group stage campaign with a last-gasp victory on Thursday night.

Brendan Rodgers’ men went into their opening fixture with Rosenborg at Parkhead off the back of drawing 0-0 with St Mirren in their most recent Scottish Premiership clash, and thus seeking to get back to winning ways on Thursday. And while the Bhoys were not at their best for much of the 90 minutes, they sealed a narrow 1-0 win thanks to Leigh Griffiths’ late strike, in turn giving them the best possible start to their group stage campaign.

Thus, there have been many happy Celtic fans up and down the country in recent times, although plenty of them took to Twitter both during and indeed after the game to tear into the performance of midfielder Olivier Ntcham.

The 22-year-old made the move to Parkhead back in 2017 after coming up through the ranks at Premier League champions Manchester City, and he had made a good start to the season in netting four times in his 13 appearances prior to their clash with Rosenborg.

Yet the France Under-21 international was far from his best at Celtic Park on Thursday night at a time whereby Celtic really needed him most, and it was a performance that riled several Bhoys fans on Twitter…
