Celtic announced on their official website celticfc.net on Monday that the club had formally completed the signing of Ivorian midfielder Ismaila Soro from Bnei Yehuda, with the news also shared on their Twitter channel @CelticFC.

The 21-year-old was initially scouted by the Hoops back in November, according to the Daily Record, with the same publication claiming in early January that his agent Dudu Dahan had hinted at a possible move to Glasgow. However, the move seemed in doubt later in the month after Sky Sports reported that Genk had entered the race to sign him.
Last week, Celtic stated on their official website that Soro had passed a medical at the club and was just waiting on the confirmation of international clearance before the deal could be made official. However, the transfer wasn’t fully confirmed until this Monday, with the Ivorian becoming the Hoops’ second signing of the winter transfer window after Patryk Klimala.
