Celtic recently posted an article on Twitter, writing about a dramatic European night at Celtic Park, and a lot of fans are loving reminiscing over the great victory.
The night was 18 years ago, 2002, as the Scottish side welcomed Italian giants Juventus in the UEFA Champions League group stages. Hoops manager Martin O’Neill could not have expected such a rollercoaster of a match, which saw his side win 4-3, via Celtic FC.

His comments after the came highlighted how great the match was, as he said, via Celtic FC: “Getting nine points and going out was a bit disappointing but they tell me that the match against Juventus was as good a game as has been played in the Champions League this season.”
Even though the Celts were to finish third in the group and leave the competition early, goals from Joos Valgaeren, Henrik Larsson and a brace from Chris Sutton meant that the fans would have a great European night to remember.

The club had a 2-1 lead going into half time, and were not unnerved when David Trezeguet managed to equalise, as a Larsson penalty and Sutton’s second would arrive before the 70th minute, giving the side a lead to hold on to until the final whistle.
