Celtic captain Scott Brown has given his thoughts following his side’s recent 2-1 defeat to rivals Rangers, prompting some very negative responses from supporters.
Defeat against Steven Gerrard’s men saw the gap at the top of the SPFL table reduced to just two points, forcing the Celtic skipper to issue a rallying call to his team-mates after that disappointing loss at home.

“We need to learn now, because that’s two games in a row now where they’ve probably outplayed us,” Brown was quoted as saying by The Scotsman. “We were sitting in that dressing room and everyone was devastated, so you have to make sure you remember how you felt after those defeats,” he later added.
Ultimately, having allowed Rangers, who have a game in hand, to close the gap at the top of the SPFL table, some stern words from their captain is perhaps what the Celtic players need right now.
The 34-year-old’s battle cry does not seem to have done much to lift the mood among supporters, though, who have responded quite negatively to it on Twitter
You can have a look at what they have been saying following Brown’s comments below…

Thought broony had a good game but end of the day we are in a position where we must win at ibrox and not loose or drop points at any point in this league campaign it’s crunch time also need to approach old firms with no fear something we haven’t done the last 2 occasions

no harm to you Scott but your done against Jack and Kent tbh there to young and quick for you it’s great that you encourage the rest of the team but at the end of the day Kent and Jack are younger and fitter…hoops lost it in midfield yesterday
