Celtic: Fans unconvinced by links to Patryk Klimala

Celtic have identified Polish striker Patryk Klimala as a transfer priority in the January window, as reported by the Daily Mail and subsequently tweeted by the 20 Minute Tims podcast (@20MinuteTims).

According to the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old Jagiellonia Bialystok forward is a £4m target for the Hoops, who have placed him prominently on a list of potential reinforcements this month amid reported competition from Genoa and upcoming Europa League opponents FC Copenhagen for his signature.

Centre-forward appears to be a priority position for Neil Lennon in the winter transfer window, with the Daily Mail adding that Celtic had held discussions with Slovan Bratislava’s Andraz Sporar about a possible £5m deal towards the end of December, with Tino Kadewere of Le Havre also being monitored.

Klimala has scored seven goals in 17 league games for Jagiellonia Bialystok in the current campaign, having managed just four in 32 appearances for the club prior to the start of this season.

These Celtic fans on Twitter have not been getting overly excited by the reports linking the 21-year-old with a possible move to Parkhead:
