Celtic: Fans wax lyrical over Tom Rogic’s performance against St. Mirren

A number of Celtic fans took to Twitter to share their delight with Tom Rogic’s latest performance out in the middle for the Bhoys on Saturday afternoon.

The Australia international played a crucial role in helping Neil Lennon’s side pick up all three points at Celtic Park, as the midfielder provided Leigh Griffiths with an assist for his and the Hoops’ second goal of the game before being substituted out of the match in their 5-0 victory (as per SofaScore).

The £2.25m-rated playmaker (as per TransferMarkt) has struggled for minutes under the current regime in Glasgow, although that might be down to the injury trouble he has had regarding the knee area over the past couple of seasons.

Indeed, the 27-year-old appears to have been more involved since the turn of the decade, having featured in every Scottish Premiership game bar the Kilmarnock fixture following the conclusion of the winter break – albeit for a handful of minutes at a time (TransferMarkt).

However, it appears many of the Celtic fans feel Rogic has started to show glimpses of his best once again and it seems some of them would like to see Lennon call upon him a lot more in the future when taking a look at Twitter.

A plethora of supporters felt that the player could be a difference-maker for the green-and-white hoops, whilst one even mentioned that James Forrest looked a lot better when the Australian was in the side, which could be great news considering the £6.75m-rated ace (as per TransferMarkt) already has 16 goals and 22 assists in his 47 appearances across all competitions – with another assist against St. Mirren on Saturday (as per SofaScore).
