After such a good season, the Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern have been praising the name ‘Brendan Rodgers’ as the Hoops sit pretty atop Scottish football right now.
There’s not much that can dampen their moods right now and the Bhoys at the bar are delighted to read a transfer tidbit from the Daily Record.
They claim the SPFL champions are keen on Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury, who has been strongly linked with a move away from the City Ground amid some difficult financial circumstances.
He’s been one of the top midfielders in the Championship for a few years now and the notion of seeing him move north of the border is an exciting one for the Parkhead faithful propping up the bar.
With his deal set to expire in the summer, the 26-year-old would be free to talk to Celtic this month and Brendan Rodgers could reportedly offer him a pre-contract soon.
He’d be quite the coup for Scottish football, with Premier League Watford also linked with making a move to bring the former Arsenal man back to Hertfordshire this month.
Would Lansbury improve Celtic? Let us know below..
