Celtic: Loads of fans fuming at Adrian Durham’s Scottish Premiership team of the decade

Celtic dominated Scottish football over the previous decade, winning the past eight top-division titles in a row as their bitter rivals spent the majority of it recovering from financial mismanagement. With that in mind, perhaps it’s fair to say you could expect fans’ and pundits’ team of the decade to be dominated by Hoops players, but talkSPORT’s Adrian Durham had other ideas.

His line-up included five current or ex-Rangers players, yet it only included three stars who have played for the Hoops. James Forrest, Stuart Armstrong and Virgil Van Dijk, and the latter only played for them for two seasons. The inclusion of Andy Robertson, who made just 36 appearances in the Scottish Premiership before leaving for Hull also raised some eyebrows along with others such as Darren McGregor.

Celtic fans saw the tweet and they were quick to show their anger at Durham’s team selection. Many of them replied to tell him just how wrong they thought he was.
