Celtic will again take to the field tonight without the services of winger Marian Shved, with @aboutceltic on Twitter declaring that the 22-year-old has not been named in the matchday squad for the trip to Kilmarnock.

The Ukrainian has barely featured for the Hoops all season, with just two substitute appearances totalling 35 minutes to his name. The last of those came three months ago when he played the final quarter-hour in a 6-0 thrashing of Ross County, since which he has not even been included in a matchday squad. [via TransferMarkt]
Shved seemed to have been thrown a lifeline at Parkhead last week after Celtic manager Neil Lennon commended his application during the squad’s recent training camp in Dubai, saying: “He’s doing good. He’s training well. He’s looking lively and has been a wee bit of a bonus this week. It’s an opportunity to just explode onto it. He’s looked very healthy and I’ve been pleased with him.” [via The Scotsman]
However, the Ukrainian misses out again tonight even with fellow right winger James Forrest unavailable for selection. Shved’s latest omission from Lennon’s squad has split opinion among these Celtic fans on Twitter, with some feeling he should be given a fairer chance at the club and others suggesting that there may be a good reason as to why he is continually overlooked:
It’s a shame cause the kid looks half decent 🍀🍀🍀

Needs a chance to see if hes good enough, only way to find out is put him in, I think he will be good enough if hes not then fair enough.

Lennon came out and said that he’d done well in Dubai and that he was in his plans? Now another game approaches and again he doesn’t make the squad!! Forrest has been poor for months and I guarantee he’ll walk back into the team when ready.

Think he’d have benefited from a loan spell similar to Christie, with sinclair n Morgan now gone, arzani n moi not 100% doesn’t look likely. Can only think he’s no doing enough in training.

It’s more than obvious he’s not good enough. Another couple of million squandered by Rodgers by the look of things.

Not good enough. He probably be punted out on loan or sold soon

Seems like he is injury prone. Looks very slight and type who would struggle v Scottish teams hatchet men, sorry defenders.
