Celtic could be prepared to cash-in on one of their stars this January as interest is likely to hot up.
Dedryck Boyata attracted plenty of clubs in the summer with his performances and it was understood that he had looked to leave the Bhoys.
However, the summer passed and he still remains a Hoops player, although one report is starting to suggest that his days at Celtic Park are numbered.
It is believed that Brendan Rodgers’ side have all but given up hope that the defender will sign a new deal to remain at Celtic Park beyond the end of the season, meaning that they may have to cash-in on him this winter, rather than risk him going elsewhere for nothing.
The Verdict:

One minute Boyata is thought to be pushing for a move away from the club, the next he appears to be happy and proud to be at Celtic.
Fans heavily criticised him during the early stages of the season feeling that his performances were substandard because of his desire to move away from Parkhead and now it appears he could depart in January.
Celtic will need to work desperately hard to convince the 27-year-old to sign a new deal before then, otherwise, as the report suggests, a January transfer looks a realistic option for Celtic’s enforcer.
