Nicky Butt left his role at Manchester United as head of first-team development on Wednesday and could now reportedly be on his way to Celtic.
The 46-year-old spent nine years at Old Trafford, helping several United youngsters become first-team regulars.

According to Football Insider, Butt could move to Parkhead to work alongside former teammate Roy Keane.

It seems that the links to Keane are gathering pace – his partner in crime on Sky Sports, Micah Richards, appeared to drop a hint on Thursday – and should the Irishman indeed make the return to Glasgow Park and bring Butt with him, we’re not sure where that would leave Celtic’s current first-team staff.
John Kennedy has been in interim charge of the Hoops following Neil Lennon’s resignation, but if Butt makes the move north with Keane, the former may well be surplus to requirements in the summer.
Reports earlier this month had suggested that Keane could work with Kennedy and the current backroom staff, however, following the latest report regarding Butt, that may not be the case. Change is afoot.
