Celtic youngster Tobi Oluwayemi has signed a two-year contract extension at Parkhead.

The news, which was confirmed on Friday, led to a number of Celtic fans giving their thoughts on social media.

Oluwayemi, formerly of Tottenham, joined the Hoops in 2019. The 18-year-old goalkeeper is yet to make a senior appearance for the Hoops but has been capped by England at Under-18 level.

He’s been turning out for Celtic’s reserve side, and the Hoops have clearly liked what they’ve seen from the teenager, who will now stay at the club until 2024.

Celtic Colts will play in the Lowland League in the upcoming campaign, which will give Oluwayemi and his teammates the chance to play competitive senior football.
