Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish has praised the attitude of new Hoops signing Cameron Carter-Vickers following his loan move to the club from Tottenham Hotspur.

Spending last campaign on loan at Bournemouth, the 23-year-old made 26 appearances on the English south coast, registering one goal and one assist [Transfermarkt].
Despite his best efforts, the USA international has made just five senior appearances for Spurs across his time at the club. Unsurprisingly, he is once again out of favour in N17 and was subsequently loaned out to Scottish giants Celtic on deadline day with an option to buy [Glasgow Times].

Writing in his Sunday Post column, Dalglish lauded the American owing to what he saw of him at Tottenham, saying:
“Celtic rounded off their business by adding Georgios Giakoumakis, Jota and Cameron Carter-Vickers to the squad on the final day. All three look the part, and will increase the quality in the squad.
“I watched Carter-Vickers in action for Tottenham’s reserves in a game against Liverpool, and he looked an excellent professional. His attitude was spot-on.
“I think the day before, he had been an unused sub for the first-team, but still travelled to Merseyside in an exemplary frame of mind.”

In offering his thoughts of the Southend native, Dalglish makes an encouraging assessment regarding the suitability of Carter-Vickers as he begins to be incorporated into the Celtic framework.
Last term, he showed his solidity within the Bournemouth backline, winning 2.8 aerial duels per match across the campaign [WhoScored].
