Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham doesn’t want to play for the Hoops again.

That’s according to a report from Football Insider, who have been informed by a Celtic source that the player wants a permanent move away from Parkhead this summer.

Ntcham’s Marseille struggles

He’s currently out on loan at Marseille, who have an option to make that move permanent at the end of the season.

Things aren’t looking great for the 25-year-old, though. He’s made just three starts back in his native country and has been replaced at half-time in each of those outings.

Ntcham, on £14,000-a-week at Parkhead, still has just over 12 months remaining on his Hoops deal, should Marseille refuse to take up their £4.5m option.

The box-to-box midfielder has made 147 appearances for Celtic, scoring 24 times and registering 13 assists.

Transfer Tavern take

Eddie Howe, who looks set to become the new Celtic manager, actually tried to sign Ntcham way back in 2015 for Bournemouth, so it would be interesting to know his thoughts on the Frenchman.

However, it seems as if the player is adamant on ending his four-year association with the club ahead of the 2021/22 season.
