Concerns have emerged over Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic and his sustainability in Ange Postecoglou’s system, The Herald report.
The Lowdown: Rogic a regular
Rogic, who Postecoglou hailed as ‘brilliant’ while in charge of Australia, has been a regular in green and white this season.
Should Rogic be kept or sold?
The Latest: Cairney’s claim
The Herald’s James Cairney shared a story on Wednesday, looking at how St Mirren’s Jamie McGrath could be a shrewd midfield target for the Hoops.
He compared McGrath to Rogic, with Cairney stating that the Aussie’s place is far less secure than McGregor’s at Parkhead and there are concerns over his work rate and suitability to Postecoglou’s system.
The Verdict: Midfield additions?
With Postecoglou regularly playing three central midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 system, the Hoops may need to look into bolstering their ranks in the New Year.
Should Cairney’s claim prove accurate on Rogic, who Turnbull called ‘strong’, perhaps midfield will be an area the club look to add to over the coming months – only time will tell.
