Celtic recorded a third successive 2-0 win on Saturday afternoon at home to St Johnstone.

Giorgos Giakoumakis opened the scoring for the hosts with his first Hoops goal, before a Josip Juranovic penalty late on sealed all three points for Ange Postecoglou's team at Parkhead.

However, not all of the Hoops thrived, as The Transfer Tavern dives into the three worst-rated outfield starters by statistical specialists SofaScore...

Tom Rogic

Rogic was Celtic’s worst-rated starter per SofaScore with a rating of 6.5/10.

The midfielder was fairly ineffective alongside Callum McGregor and David Turnbull, with the Australia international winning just three of 11 duels, losing possession 16 times and not managing a shot on target.

He is yet to miss a game under Postecoglou - could now be the right time for a rest?

Jota

Jota made his 10th appearance of the season on Saturday but also had his struggles.

He ended with a SofaScore match rating of 6.9/10 and was withdrawn with four minutes remaining for Albian Ajeti.

The 22-year-old has been impressive this season but lost possession a whopping 23 times, lost five duels, didn’t manage a shot on target and made just one accurate cross out of 11.

Kyogo Furuhashi

On the other flank of a front three, Furuhashi also struggled, recording a SofaScore rating of 7.1/10 – Celtic’s joint third-worst when it came to outfield starters.

He failed to register a single shot during his 81 minutes on the pitch, unlike the forward who already has nine goals in green and white to his name. The Japan international also lost possession seven times, lost one duel and played just one key pass.

Perhaps Postecoglou may have to look again at how he can include both Furuhashi and Giakoumakis in the same starting line-up.
