A photo posted by a Celtic supporter on Twitter showing what Parkhead looked like before it was renovated has sent a lot of the fan base down memory lane, discussing how much they loved visiting the old version of the ground.
The stadium made it’s great transformation from 1994-1998, but it had a very different feel about it before these years, via Stadiumguide. Instead of being close to the action, fans behind either goal had a large space between them and the pitch due to the oval shape of the ground, and even though they loved this old ground, the changes made have definitely been for the better.

Now with fans from all four stands close to the pitch, Paradise has a much bigger fear factor and this is proven by their dominance as they look sit to win their ninth title in a row, via Transfermarkt, with a lot of this due to their home form as they have only lost one game and won the other 14 this campaign in the league, via Footystats.

Here is what fans had to say following the tweet:
Although we loved it, Celtic Park was tired and old fashioned in 1993 when this photo was taken. The transformation between 1994 and 1998 was nothing short of incredible. The current stadium is a source of pride and is an inspiration to players and fans alike. pic.twitter.com/FWEYRhS2mA

But how many of us would love, just one more time, to stand in that old favourite spot in the Jungle or the Celtic End and cheer on Jimmy Johnstone or Danny McGrain as they tear down the right wing?

Totally agree, but loved it at the time 🍀🍀💚

On our way back from Hampden, we’d always pass by Celtic Park as the North Stand was getting built. Seeing it’s construction gave us hope.

Many a time I walked round that track heading for the cop control room with a steward. I used to pretend to a steward I was lost and they would take you round the track to the police control and call Da’s name out on tannoy to collect me the cops used to giv crisps and juice😂
