Celtic fans here in the Tavern are extremely delighted with how their side has performed this season as they remain on course for the treble. 

Brendan Rodgers has brought about nothing but positive change since he took over at Celtic Park back in 2016, as many of our local residents believe that they’ve got one of the best managers in the whole of world football. Indeed, with Celtic on course for their second successive treble as the season comes to a close, it’s safe to say that the Scotsman has certainly delivered in Glasgow thus far.

Interestingly, Celtic have produced a number of incredible players over the years that have gone on to join some big European clubs, with their scouting network producing magnificent results. But, with the Hoops struggling in European competitions in recent times, perhaps they should look to welcome a couple of former players back to the club.

So, with improvements needed in the summer transfer window, Celtic should look to re-sign these TWO players in the summer…

Ki Sung-yueng

This season has certainly been one to forget for Swansea City’s Ki Sung-yueng, as he’s struggled to establish himself as a regular first-team member.

Ki Sung-yueng enjoyed arguably the best years of his footballing career at Celtic Park until the Premier League came calling. But, Celtic may now have the opportunity to bring one of their former stars back to the club, with a summer move for the central midfielder proving to be realistic.

Interestingly, Celtic may be looking to replace Scott Brown in the summer transfer window as age could become a factor, and there aren’t many better replacements than the Swansea City midfielder, who has already proven he has what it takes to become a star in the Scottish Premiership.

Stefan Johansen

Stefan Johansen has played a huge part in Fulham’s promotion push so far this season and could even take them to the Premier League.

Indeed, this is no surprise to many of our local residents here in the Tavern as they know exactly how special he is, having witnessed his brilliance every time he stepped on the field at Celtic Park. And, to put this into perspective, the roaming central midfielder managed to net 20 goals for the Hoops, and played a hand in a number of teammates finding the back of the net.

But, bringing the Norwegian to Glasgow could be difficult if his current club Fulham secure promotion this season.
