Celtic team news: Rogic and Brown fit and available for crucial Rosenborg clash

Celtic will meet Rosenborg in Norway as they look to keep their chances of progressing to the next stage of the Europa League alive.

The Bhoys currently sit precariously in their group, level with Red Bull Leipzig on six points after four matches and know they must win in order to give themselves the best chance of reaching the next round.

Rosenborg have just clinched their fourth consecutive league title and Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that they have celebrated and partied just a little too much.

Although he knows his Celtic side will be in for a tough test, he did have some pleasing team news to share with fans.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, via the club’s official Twitter profile, Rodgers revealed both Tom Rogic and Scott Brown would be available to play if required.

Both midfielders have had to spend time on the sidelines recently and missed their 3-0 win against Hamilton Academical at the weekend.

The Verdict:

Having both Brown and Rogic available for the game against Rosenborg will be a huge boost for Celtic and their chances of getting a win.

The duos returns come at a timely moment, as Rodgers’ side have had their injury concerns in the middle of the park with Daniel Arzani and Eboue Kouassi both being ruled out for the season.

The Hoops have already met the Norwegian outfit at their own ground, having been held to a goalless draw in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League earlier this season, something they will want to improve on Thursday.
