Celtic will return to action on Saturday when they host Airdrieonians in the Scottish Cup at Celtic Park.
The Scottish Premiership champions have not been in action since their 1-0 defeat to Old Firm rivals Rangers before the turn of the year.
Brendan Rodgers will want to see his side fly out of the blocks against a potentially tricky opponent, however, he has confirmed he will be without a key man for the cup encounter.
Speaking in his press conference, via the club’s official Twitter account, he revealed that Kieran Tierney would not be available.
BR on Kieran Tierney: “He’s still unavailable. He’s working with the medical team with this issue, but he’s still injured at the moment. We’ll give him a bit of time and see how he’s doing.”

Rodgers stated that the Scotland international would need to continue to spend time with the medical team regarding his current issue.
The match against Airdrie could see both Timothy Weah and Oliver Burke make their debuts for the Hoops, although Vakoun Issouf Bayo is ruled out as he gets his paperwork sorted.
The Verdict:
Celtic will want to get out of the blocks quickly and could find the game against Airdrie to be a great opportunity.
Tierney’s absence will still be of a concern as the 21-year-old has been a vital member of Rodgers’ side over the past couple of seasons.
There will be some excitement at Celtic Park on Saturday evening though, should either Weah and/or Burke make their debuts for the Bhoys.
