In 2016, Celtic became the first club in Great Britain to introduce rail seating as part of a new ‘safe standing’ section at their stadium, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The Taylor Report into the 1989 Hillsborough disaster recommended that top level stadia in England and Scotland should become all-seated venues, as reported by BBC, and terraces were consequently removed from Celtic Park in 1994, according to the42.ie.
The Everything Celtic Twitter channel (@aboutceltic) raised the issue by asking its followers if they think the safe standing section at Celtic Park should be expanded beyond its current capacity of 2,600.

The stadium’s safe standing section was opened three years ago in a pre-season friendly between Celtic and Wolfsburg, as per the42.ie,
English Premier League clubs have previously held discussions about the possible introduction of safe standing in the division, as reported by BBC, while some European clubs such as Borussia Dortmund have rail seating in their stadia, according to the Daily Mail.
